ABOUT DLAI

Digital Lenders Association of India (DLAI) is a national level premier industry association which was established in October 2016. Incorporated as a not-for-profit ,section 8 company duly registered with Ministry of Corporate Affairs , Government of India . DLAI has its registered office is in Bengaluru, Karnataka and Head office in Gurugram. DLAI is committed to strengthen fintech industry in India and the conduct of business part of  service providers .  DLAI’s members are a diverse set of financial institutions in fintech space like digital lenders, platform lenders(LSPs), Technology Service Providers, Payment Gateways and Aggregators, NBFCs, Credit Information Companies etc. At present DLAI has close to 100 active members.

As fintech continues to evolve, DLAI remains at the forefront of shaping the industry’s development and represents customer centric and industry views. DLAI’s commitment to fostering responsible lending practices, advocating for regulatory clarity, and promoting collaboration positions it as a key player in driving the positive transformation of India’s digital lending landscape. In essence, DLAI serves as a cornerstone for the industry, championing ethical conduct, innovation, and inclusivity in the rapidly expanding domain of digital lending in India.

DLAI OBJECTIVES

  • To support the development and learning of the Fintech sector in India which includes Digital Lenders, Technology Service Providers, Payment Aggregators and Gateways, Ecosystem Enabling actors like consulting and law firms etc.
  • To represent, advise and consolidate the efforts of the Fintech Sector in India.
  • We have made some efforts towards both our objectives. For the first we have been conducting events across the year to educate our members on various happening in Industry. We had a workshop on GST and have upcoming ones on e-contract, How to reduce NPAs, open source technology, etc. We have also come up with a whitepaper on the impact of budget 2017 on Digital Lending Space. In the coming months, we will come up with more events and whitepapers to help drive the digital lending space.
  • To take forward the second objective, DLAI has formed a code of ethics which they expect every member to sign and follow. Besides we are working with MeITY, NPCI, RBI and other regulatory bodies to help come out with policies which help the industry. For the same a Digital Policy committee has been constituted.
